Purple has always been my favorite color (just check my purplsktle screen name on AOL back in the day!).  But in the last few days the color purple has taken new meaning across the lives of so many people in my life and across the world; I thought I'd spend the week featuring images with this color front and center one way or another.  I've truly enjoyed learning so much about Prince these last few days as so many people have great stories and reasons to honor such an important artist in our time, so here's my daily dose of purple to contribute in my small way :).  I started with this picture taken at the end of our road trip last summer, at a lavender farm off the side of the road that we almost skipped on our way to Seattle.  A memory of lost loved one of mine called us to turn around and stop, and we were here when we got some very upsetting news that ended our trip abruptly.  I'll never forget that day, and the beauty and scents that accompanied the moment.
